HOW TO ENTER:

If youre an unsigned RAPPER looking to advance your music career, submit your best song to InThaCypher@gmail.com. Submissions must be clean, original, good quality, and appealing to the masses (meaning no 7 minute freestyle you recorded in your basement over the "Shook Ones" instrumental). Collaboration tracks can only be with other unsigned artists, and have to be in moderation (an R&B artist on the chorus is acceptable as well as ONE other rapper featured on the track).

The MP3 should be as follows...
"(your name)_(song title)_(city/state you rep).mp3"

Be sure to include a number we can reach you at in the email. If your submission doesnt meet any one of these simple requirements, it will be deleted. We will contact you when/if your song is selected...dont keep submitting or asking when were going to respond. You can also check www.Kiss957.com (keyword: Cypher) to see if youve been scheduled in the Underground Countdown or Myspace Artist of the Week.

UNDERGROUND COUNTDOWN ELIMINATION:

Based on votes - the songs that come in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will move on to the next week. The songs that come in 4th and 5th will be eliminated and replaced with two new songs the following week. Online voting for the following weekend will always start the day following the show (Monday), and it will end Saturday at midnight (you can vote once per computer).

HOW TO WIN/RE-ENTER:

Get on your promotional grind and have your friends, family, and fans cast their vote online at www.Kiss957.com (keyword: Cypher). To win the Underground Countdown and  be retired, you have to go four weeks at 1st place. To win the Myspace Artist of the Week you have to have the most online/text message votes for the week. You can re-submit a new song one month after being in either contest.

In Tha Cypher airs Sundays from 10pm to midnight on Kiss 95.7 FM. We showcase undiscovered talent and give artists major radio exposure, so only serious rappers should apply to the contests. Each show is composed of an interview with a prominent hip-hop figure, the Underground Countdown, the Myspace Arist of the Week or Who Got Next (bi-weekly segments), and The Rundown - where we update you on everything going on in the hip-hop game.
