So Taylor Swift got dumped. Again. But this time it wasn’t by a boyfriend – it was by Cameron Mackintosh, the producer of the original stage and upcoming film version of “Les Miserables.”
The country/pop singer has lost out on the role of Eponine in the all-star movie version of the famous stage show to British actress Samantha Barks. Reportedly there were some other big names up for the role, too – including Lea Michele, Evan Rachel Wood, and Scarlett Johansson. Barks, 21, is a musical theatre veteran who performed selections from the show at the 25th anniversary celebration back in 2010 – after being hand-picked by Mackintosh.
Other Taylor Swift news? Well, in a recent issue of “Vogue,” Swift spoke about her upcoming forth album and how it’s influenced by heartbreak. She said, “There’s just been this Earth-shattering, not recent, but absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak and that will turn out to be what the next album is about. The only way I can feel better about myself… pull myself out of that awful pain of losing someone… is writing songs about it to get some sort of clarity.” Well then…. so “Party Rock Anthem” it won’t be.
The odd thing? Swift, 22, writes about heartbreak - when she’s never been in a long term relationship. Then again, she writes about high school football games that she never went to, because she was homeschooled.
I guess we’ll just call that “extreme poetic licence.”
Well, it’s not like singer Gavin Rossdale didn’t have a somewhat secret past to begin with. Two years into his marriage with singer Gwen Stefani, Gwen was hit with her first surprise – he had a daughter (now 22) with his ex-girlfriend songwriter/designer Pearl Lowe. Surprising, sure. But not xcompletely undealwithable (that’s a new word, now.)
The next surprise was a little more… well… surprising.
Back in 2009, cross-dresser Peter Robinson (known as Marilyn) revealed that he had a brief fling with Rossdale back before he married Stefani. A rumor? Nope. In 2010, Rossdale confirmed the relationship, saying that it was a one-time experimentation when he was 17 years old. “That was it. You have to onow what you like, and I know what I like,” Rossdale said in an interview with “Details” magazine.
Oh, and then this: Courtney Love claimed that she had an eight month affair with Rossdale while he was dating Stefani. When it rains, it pours?
So now, Stefani is a little wary. “Gwen often wonders what other secrets Gavin is hiding. It’s getting harder and harder for her to go through the motions with a man she sometimes feels like she doesn’t even know,” a source tells “Star.”
Supposedly Rossdale, 46, and Stefani, 42, have been in and out of couples therapy trying to fix their marriage – but this “source” says that divorce is “inevitable.” Bu maybe, just maybe, this source isn’t as connected as they claim. A rep for the pair says that the rumors are “completely untrue – they are not divorcing!”
We kinda lean that way, too. Earlier this month, the pair was spotted out and about in Los Angeles with their kids at a park in Los Angeles – looking happy and worry-free.
Stay tuned, though….
So some photos leaked late this week of the “birthing suite” at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan where Beyonce gave birth to her baby girl last weekend. And, uh, it's nicer than some places we've lived.
No joke. The five star room (hospital rooms are rated on a star system?) boasts four flat screen televisions, cream colored sofas, mahogany walls, brushed chrome accents, and a rather fancy kitchenette. And the photos are apparently completely legit; a hospital employee confirmed to “Us Weekly” that the photos are definitely of the “executive suite” where the Grammy winner welcomed her future Grammy winner (we're just assuming).
The hospital denies that the suite was built exclusively for the arrival of Beyonce and Jay-Z's baby – but it will cost you to use it, if you happen to head to Lenox Hill Hospital. It costs 800 dollars a night to use the suite. And, although the hospital claims that the suite wasn't built for the musical duo, they did happen to be the first people to ever use the room. But rumor has it that the pair donated a large sum – at least 100 thousand dollars – to the hospital months ago.
Apparently this isn't the only room like this at the hospital, either. There's 7 suites in the VIP section, costing between 7 and 8 hundred dollars a night, depending on the room. The suites are said to have “reconfigurable designs” - meaning that the dividing walls are movable and the rooms can be expanded. So what's that mean? Well, Beyonce supposedly had FOUR suites – equaling approximately 3200 dollars.
Ok, so maybe a little bit of structure is what Linday Lohan needed. Sure, she was court ordered to perform community service at the LA County coroner's office – but she's not only on pace to complete the service, but she's actually ahead of schedule.
Lohan has already completed ten of her 12 required morgue duty shifts – rather impressive, considering she's got three weeks left before she has to have the service completed. Lindsay also has a fairly good reputation at the morgue, too – she's said to be polite, hard working, and never complains about the work.
But things haven't been super smooth for Lohan – she reportedly got pranking during her community service. According to a morgue insider (those exist?) some of her coworkers put a bloody rubber hand in one of the trash cans, so when Lindsay emptied it, it fell out on the floor – and she freaked out. Although we can't say we blame her.
Contrary to what's been reported above (according to the “insider”) Lindsay isn't exactly a model (forced) employee. Says the insider, “Lindsay has a real attitude – always acting like she's better than everyone else, spending too much of her time taking cigarette breaks. She speaks to no one unless she has to, and mopes through all of the work she's assigned.” So yeah. Two drastically different accounts of her time working for LA County.
But we'll see if this straightens her out – but really, why start now?

While we're pretty sure everyone has thought this, one person is coming out and publicly claiming that the wedding between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries was a complete fake.
Jonathan Jaxson – who worked for Kim from 2007 to 2009 – says that the wedding fiasco was nothing more than a publicity stunt. “It's obvious that it was staged,” Jaxson said Friday. “There were contracts already in place for E! to film it.” Jaxson continued, “he whole show itself was stanged to a T. Everything was written down.”
Surprise, surprise – right?
This isn't the first time that Jaxson has spoken out against the Kardashian clan. The former PR rep has also said that Kim had doubts about marrying Humphries long before setting foot down the aisle. “She knew weeks before getting married that she didn't want to do it. She's never gotten over [ex-boyfriend] Reggie Bush.”
Not shockingly, this guy is also claiming that publicity stunts are nothing new for the Kardashians. Jaxson says that, in 2007, Kim herself tipped off paparazzi as she was leaving a Bevreyly Hills jewelry store to make it look like Bush had proposed. “She was going shopping with her gramndmother and mom and she said 'Let's do something to get more press for you,'” claims Jaxson.
Well guess what? Kim fired back at this guy. She's hired attorney Marty Singer (who also worked for Charlie Sheen during his CBS debacle) who has submitted papers to a private arbitration to shut this Jaxson guy up. Singer says, “Everything that he says is false and nonsense. This guy is in it to promote himself for his fifteen minutes of fame.”
Hmmm... who does that sound like?
